Spotify freezes when opened while playing

After the latest update (version 0.9.4.25), Spotify will freeze whenever I open it while it's playing. The freeze is temporary, and usually lasts between 20 - 30 seconds.

Often this means I won't be able to like a song form the radio if there's less than 30 seconds left, as Spotify will have moved on to the next song by the time the app unfreezes. Music keeps playing while the app is frozen, but the screen remains entirely unresponsive. The home button still works, but if I minimize the app and re-open it, I have to wait another 20-30 seconds to use it.

This is very unfortunate, as it means any user input that can't be done via the iOS quick menu takes at least half a minute. Please look into this.

That's not good. Could you see if resetting your phone by holding the power and home buttons for 10 seconds until the apple logo comes up helps at all?

I had this same issue on my iPhone 5, and no amount of app closes / iOS device restarts seemed to help.

The only way I could resolve it was to uninstall the app and reinstall.

This leads me to believe that this could have been caused by some time of issue with upgrading from a previous version to the latest version, such as a file not being patched properly or the app cache having issues.

A clean install of the app seems to be working properly for the time being.
