Problem downloading iPhone app

Hi,

I am a Canadian expat living in Costa Rica for several years now. I have a Canadian itunes account.

I downloaded Spotify here in Costa Rica and love using it. I tried to purchase Premium, but my paypal account is linked to Canada and it wouldn't let me. I used my friends American paypal account to upgrade.

Now I would like to download the free Spotify app for my iphone so I can use Spotify when I run.

Because I have a Canadian itunes account, it won't let me download the app.

Any ideas?

Is it possible to change the country of your iTunes account temporarily (I've never tried myself!)?

I would have to have it linked to an American bank account I think... Which I don't really have ongoing access to my friends bank account.
