I'm having the same issues. It happens most when I start playing a song (local or streaming) and turn the phone off (screen off). It's really annoying and combined with the fact that my PC won't install Spotify either it may be time to bail on Spotify.

Come on guys release an update!

I've been using the iphone ap for months now, with no issues until the past 2-3 days or so. Basically not wanting to work. I can access my playlists and music, but then the songs won't play. If it does work, once the song ends it will not play the next. It will show the image for the music but no play button will be available. I reinstalled the ap last night but that has made no difference. It has nothing to do with the signal, I am at home on my full strength wifi and it is still giving me trouble.

thanks

Cheryl, I'm having the same **bleep** problem on my iPhone. I tried updating the app, restarting my phone, everything...

I'm about ready to cancel my subscription if they don't fix it.

Me too! App stops and will not play unless you manually switch switch song forward and back to play the previous track. Kinda weird that the solution on this page links to someone else saying they have the same problem. Since when is another problem the solution? CDMA iPhone w/-81dB 3G coverage. Already attempted reinstall. No change. Also noticed version is only 0.5.0.1651.gc221f863 Does that mean we're still on beta? Where's version 1? Moving to MOG and cancelling subscription if problem is not resolved in 72 hrs. Really liked spotify until today. Actually it worked fine until the update. Could I download the old version somewhere?

Hello,

This is rather worrying. Could you guys tell me a little more about your devices? What kind of iPhones are you using? What iOS version are you currently on? Have you tried downloading "Spotify for iOS4" and using that?

davebaa - The solution thing is most likely a clicking mistake. Anyone can accept posts to be a solution, which causes trouble when it's not actually a solution. I've changed it now.

same for me.

Startet last night with simply not playing any music from offline-playlists. Then it played one song when online, but only with the spotify app active. funny thing is that the phone will only play this particular song this morning as well..

am using iphone4, with iOS 5.1.1

I'm having this problem with "Local Music".

I have a few songs synced from my computer that aren't available on Spotify, and up until a few days ago they played fine on my iPhone 4 (iOS 5.1.1).

I've attached an image showing how it looks on the iPhone:

Now they just get "stuck". The bar showing how far you are into the track doesn't move anywhere and the songs never play.

The songs play fine on the Desktop client and any song streamed or cached from Spotify works fine on my iPhone.

I've tried reinstalling Spotify and resyncing the files and that didn't work.

I am having the exact same issue as the last screenshot. Doesn't matter if I'm wifi or 3G. Repeating never works anymore, I just see this screen after each song. Offline playlist off. I set it to repeat and shuffle the playlist and same issue persists

This problem seems to have started recently also, within the last 4 days or so

i'm having the same problem... i also am having tons of connectivity issues. my iPhone app keeps saying, "The connection to Spotify timed out. Please try another WiFi network without restrictions or connect to your cell phone network. (D3.spotify.com:80)." i get this message even when connected to wifi and my cell phone network. it's been happening on/off for the past few weeks and is incredibly frustrating.

i use an iPhone 4, version 5.1.1. the app is totally up-to-date.

what fix do you have for us, spotify folks?
