I know this was covered back in 2012 to which the answer was "reinstall the software" I do this and it works fine unti I do something like unplug my headphones. It then reverts back to fading out whenever I move away from the Spotify screen. I have an iPhone 5s running os 8.1.1 and spotify ver 2.0.0.1643 I have reinstalled the software 4 times and each time it successfully plays unitl I introduce something which pauses playback.

Do you have the Equalizer turned on?

I've checked and I do not have the EQ on.

I HATE this...2 more installs and suddenly everybody is playing nice. No changes in settings no new updates (to my knowledge) I guess we'll see how it goes from here.
