Changing a song using an iPhone (remote connect) stops anything playing

When i change a song on my iPhone, using desktop connect, the song stops, and spotfy doesnt nothing even if i go back to the playlist and select a different song. Even if i close the app down completely, it still doesnt work and i have to reboot my device.

I am using spotify premium if that helps.

A reinstall of the app usually fixes most playback problems.

Can you try reinstalling the Spotify app on your iPhone?

I have done that to both versions of spotify, Desktop and iPhone, and the problem still exists.
