Offline on Multiple Devices

New to Spotify. If I suscribe to Premium I see I can download playlists and can use multiple devices. So my question is this -- can I sync different playlists to my iPhone than I do to my iPad? Or once I sync does it send everything to each device?

You need to select which playlists do you want to make available offline in each device, with a maximum of 3 offline devices and 3.333 songs synced.

Any device you log into will load your playlists.

With premium, you are able to download these playlists for offline use on up to 3 devices. So that when you don't have an Internet connection you can still listen to your music.

So to answer your question:

Yes, you can download different playlists to your iPhone. Each device downloads the playlists for offline use separately.
