Streaming vs. Offline Music Quality

I've had a Premium subscription for about a year now and finally have gotten a Yamaha reciever capable of Spotify integration.

I have several albums,etc saved offline in "normal" quality for when I'm excercising or away from a WiFi connection.

However, I also enjoy listening to these songs over my stereo system in "extreme" quality.

My question: Will Spotify differentiate between the two scenarios and recognize when it has no WiFi connection and when it does? I have a feeling that it will just go with the "easiest" method but I would hope that it'd switch to streaming if WiFi were available.

Anyone know? I apologize if this has been asked. Yes, I have searched the forums and didn't see this question, but I hope I'm not alone in asking. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that Stream Quality is for when you have wifi (thus, when you're streaming) and Sync Quality determines what the offline quality will be.
