iOS 9 for iPad, has "true" multi-tasking funtionality, whether it's through split screen or just on side bar. If this is open to all developers it would definitely be a great feature to use with Spotify. Be able to work and control music whilst on the same screen, would be pretty sweet.

Just playing with IOS 9 this morning, and the right-hand slide-in pane is basically tailor-made for Spotify. Would be great to get this feature.

Have you updated to ios11? I did, and the mulit-tasking is even more important. Since the upgrade, I can't use the upswipe to have the audio tracker displayed on the bottom of the screen while I'm in another app. I have to have Spotify as the main screen, and I can only multi task other apps on the small side screen (not useful). Plus, when Spotify is up on the mainscreen, the audio tracker is on a black background with very small white numbers...which I really can't read when I'm trying to instruct and indoor cycle class, any ideas?
