Ipod Touch Car

Hi,

I have a ipod touch 4 th gen, i want to use the apotify app like a default itunes player in the car. The default one automatically opens and can be controlled when i use with the usb pairing on the pioneer headunit. I want to set up the spotify, so i can change albums using the steering controls. Was this function taken out with the IOS 6 support ? If so changing albums whle driving is a **bleep**ty deal ! I have my device hidden in the glove box. Its not feasible to take the ipod out and manually change the albums on the fly,its a hazard !

CAn someone around here help me do this ? If not the apple music is becoming more favorable ! I am a new spotify premium user, and before i could love it , Losing ios 6 support kills the deal.
