As of today I tried various options - I updated my spotify desktop client (Ubuntu Linux) as well as my iPhone App. Still the discover page in spotify predominantly lists recommendations based on my listening trend which is many months old. I had listened to a lot more interesting artists recently and i am having to search new content manually. I see that help in this community is supported by enthusiasts and not officially by Spotify. Is there an official means to contact spotify? I cant seem to find any email or support phone number to contact. I am paying for this service as I switched to premium and I don't want to miss the key feature in Spotify which attracted me to it. If there is no solution to this problem, I am inclined to cancel the premium subscription.

For last couple of weeks, the duscover page shows the same list of recommendations. Not sure why? I am seeing this both in my iPhone and desktop. I tried logging out and in but does n't help? Is discover no longer supoprted? Discover was one of the things which led me to use Spotify as it showed artists based on my listening profile. I think the discover stopped wroking aroound the time I swtiched to premium account ! When I was using the free account it was working good !

Do you by any chance remember when Discover last updated?

Has Discover been exactly the same for a long time? If so, how long has it been like this?

@Rorey Thanks for helping out. To answer your question, I will try to list the sequence of happenings. Timings are approx:

# Until end of Apr 2015 - Free user and primarily used Ubuntu desktop version and iPhone App. Discovery used to be very dynamic and provided useful suggestions using whichui I build up my playlists. I primarily created playlists.

# Whole of May 2015 - I was traveling and did not use the desktop version. I occasionally used the iPhone App to listen to a few of my playlists, but did not use discover option. It is during this period that I switched to premium account (using my iPhone).

# Whole of June 2015 - I did not use the discovery version in the first half. I reorganized all my playlists (using desktop version) to make it easy to locate. In the second half of June, I noticed that Discovery was showing a lot of outdated suggestions (in both desktop and iPhone). I thought may be I should listen a new list of artists and may be Discovery will update itself. I started monitoring the Discovery page.

# Early July - After noticing that Discovery page does not change much. I did save a few albums and raised the issue in the community website. Since then, the Discovery page is not exactly static, one day it showed couple of suggestions based on one artist that I played in early July, but then all other suggestions are still old (based on artists I listened in April).

Last week of June and early July I listened to any artists and saved many of favorties, but Discovery page has not picked up the trend.

So in summary, it is not exactly same, but there has been really very few new suggestions (and now its around 3-4 weeks).

Hope this helps.
