Hello there @Crt!

The Spotify app needs to be open to start the Connect feature.

This is an issue from iOS mostly.

For example, if you are playing a song with a device and you lock it or close the Spotify app, it is very likely that Connect will start having some issues after a few songs because iOS starts blocking the internet connection of the Spotify app.

Unfortunately, there is no workaround rather than to have the Spotify app open to start the Connect feature. The app needs to load in order to appear on the list of devices.

Hope this helps! ♫

Hi,

I'm using an old phone as a mediaplayer on my stereo. But whenever I try to play music on that device via 'connect' from my desktop, laptop or different phone it doesn't show in the devices list. I have to wake the phone first, once the screen lits up, the phone is available in the devices list. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

Thanks.
