Radio doesn't load on iOS 6

the thing never loads on RADIO. it just constantly spins. I had a friend try loading it on his iOS 5.1.1 device and it loaded right away. is this not supported yet for the beta version of iOS 6 ?

I doubt much of anything is officially supported for iOS 6 yet. They just got access to it a week ago like everyone else. I'm guessing the radio feature has been in development much longer than a week.

There is also a bug where the desktop client doesn't recognize iPads running iOS 6.

I'm guessing once Apple gets further along in the iOS 6 beta release cycle, that things will be fixed on both sides.

I don't think that to make radio work in iOS 6 they have to work with new SDK and waste a lot of time. Just change something in the writtings and that's it. But it'll be better if they used the new SDK from the day its releases. Lots of other apps works fine and they didn't had to update or anything. Why did it have to be Spotify? :'( sad day, untill we, iOS 6 developers, get the new update.

Spotify has confirmed that the iOS app isn't fully compatible with iOS 6. Radio is one of the features currently not working as well as offline file sync with the iPad.

iOS 6 is currently in beta testing, so there will be problems.

Spotify hopes to fully support iOS 6 soon.

I have iOs 5.1.1 and I can't get the radio to load. It was working fine a week ago and now it hasn't worked for several days. Any suggestions?

I tired radio in beta 4. It still does not work. I think Spotify has to change something in their app to update it for iOS 6.

Now with Beta 4 out, not only Radio does not work - also the sound quality is at its lowest setting, no matter what's selected in the Spotify Settings. It sounds terrible 😞

It's curious that Spotify is the only app affected so far... All other streaming apps appear to be fine. Time to switch 😞

Ummm... Listen to it? 😉 It sounds like it's being played back at 11kHz, not 44kHz as it should.

Also, I have to correct myself: turns out ALL steaming apps are suffering from this issue. Only Apple's own Music player has good sound quality.

i gave up and went back to iOS 5.1.1. i had other issues besides the radio not working...poor battery life, turn by turn freezing, navigon not working, group text messages not coming through, the list goes on...not worth it imo to use the beta on a primary device. it should just be kept on my dev phone only which is where it's at today. as for my primary phone, couldn't be happier with fully working apps.

Radio has never worked for me. But the low sound quality is killing.. Especially when I got a $5000 equipment in the car.. Going back to beta 2 for now (beta 3 had horrible caller history bug)
