Shuffle Play

Hello,

I am a premium user and I still have problems with 'shuffle play'. I know this topic has been discussed many times in the past and perhaps this is just me being too dumb to figure this out. Spotify just show a 'shuffle play' green button. I have followed the instructions, tapped on the song currently playing, however the shuffle toggle icon was already white and not green. This means that I am not in shuffle play mode, yet only shuffle play appears. Does this mean that I can only play in shuffle mode? Any thoughts?

Hi OviiiOne, thank you very much for your answer! I have reinstalled Spotify but it still says 'shuffle play'. It does seem to play songs in order now, yesterday I had the impression it did not. Perhaps the 'shuffle play' button is just meant to be there? I do not mind it, as long as it follows the order I want when I start tapping on a song directly.

If you tap the big green Shuffle Play the music will shuffle, if you tap the first song it won't shuffle.

Hi OviiiOne, yes, now that seems to be the case... yesterday, before reinstallation, it played a very confusing Beethoven symphony! 😃 As I said, I am not the most sophisticated person when it comes to this kind of stuff. Thanks for the help and have a great new year!
