iPod touch 4th generation help

Hello everyone,

I'm new to Spotify, and would like help figuring out how to put music onto my iPod touch 4th generation. I searched for the Spotify app on the app store, but the error message tells me that the app requires iOS 7 or later, which my iPod doesn't support. Is there any way to get my Spotify synced to my iPod then? I don't want all of my music on two platforms (iPod and then my phone) and I also don't want to use my phone storage for music.

Are there any remedies for this?

Well, sure, for my phone, but the purpose of the topic was trying to get my files onto an iPod so that I could keep my music separate from my phone. Unfortunately, you guys don't seem to support this.
