Issue syncing local files to iphone

Im having an issue syncing/ playing local files from my computer onto my iphone. I can download mixtapes onto itunes, and then add them into playlists on my computer(Mac). The playlist then syncs to my iphone, where the songs im having issues with show up in the playlists on my phone, but are grayed out, and when i try to play them, they tell me they need to be synced.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I know how to sync local files to my phone, its only certain songs that wont play. I have no issue playing songs that were bought on itunes. The issue is with songs that I download from websites and then put into itunes. I download mixtapes, and then put them into itunes, and then into spotify. I have no issues playing these mixtape songs on my Mac. The issue is playing them on my iphone.

Oh, OK!

In that case, please try the following steps:

- Reinstall the app on both devices.

- Follow the steps from our support article.
- Make sure the app is open and active on both devices.
- Ensure both devices connected to the same WiFi.
- Use a different WiFi connection.
- Add the local files to a brand new playlist.

If the above steps don't help, give it a go using a different account.
