cache clear iphone 6s

I think I pretty much know the answer to this already from doing a little search (but as there isn't much recent post's I thought I'd ask). Is it still the case that you need to uninstall and reinstall the app for your cache to clear?

Problem I'm having is that when I remove songs from being available offline it isn't clearing the storage on my phone. I don't want to have to uninstall and reinstall as I'm assuming this will remove all of the 'saved' albums I have on my device? (the ones which I actually want there).

Really poor if this is still the case as I've read some articles dating back to 2011/2012 time.

I use an app called Battery Doctor that works very well at removing junk cache files from my iPhone 6s.
