Background refresh

Spotify premium user here. I have an iPhone 6, with an IOS 10.1.1, and I'm finding--quite suddenly--that Spotify's background refresh is draining my battery very quickly. I turned off background refresh for Spotify, yet it continues to run. I've deleted the app three times now and still the problem persists.

I've searched online for solutions, and all suggest doing precisely what I've done. Any suggestions, please?

Hey! There's been a battery drain on iOS 10.1 overall, not just Spotify app, iOS 10.2 beta 1 fixed it (I had it) and now iOS 10.2 beta 2 brought back this crazy battery situation. Hopefully Apple fixes this soon, there's nothing else you can do about it now, sorry (I feel you, I have the same problem).
