I am new to spotify, and I just downloaded the free version. I would be interested in upgrading to premium, and I had a question -- I have an iPod shuffle, so with spotify premium, will it be possible to download songs from spotify and put them on my iPod? Thanks!

Unfortunately, you can't sync tracks from Spotify to your iPod Shuffle. This feature is only available on devices that can run the spotify app on themselves, like an iPod Touch (which uses iOS like an iPhone).

So with spotify premium, you can't just download music to your computer from spotify?

You can save tracks to your computer for offline listening, but they must be played through the Spotify app and can't be transferred to portable players. To listen on the go, you need an iOS, Android or Windows Phone device capable of running the Spotify mobile app, which also lets you save offline tracks if you have a Premium account.
