Shuffle Not Being Shuffled

For the past couple of days, I've been listening to Spotify on my phone. And even though I DO NOT have Spotify Premium, and my only option is to shuffle, the music isn't being shuffled. It is not playing in order, but for the past couple of days, I've been hearing the songs in the same order, over and over again. How do I fix this?

You possibly might have multiple of the same song on one playlist that you are shuffling. Another possibility is if you go on an artists profile and just press shuffle, it will shuffle songs over and over because of minor changes within the song, such as, non explicit version. If those are not the problem there is probably a bug and you would either have to restart the app or uninstall it and reinstall the app.

I think it was a bug, because I deleted and redownloaded the app, & the problem stopped. Thank you so much for your help.
