Shuffle fixating

When shuffling a list with 1700 songs (approximately 70 bands) that are downloaded to my device, the same 5 bands are the only ones featured in the queue. It didn't used to be this repetitive, and now it's almost unusable.

The problem actually seems to be with shuffling the playlist using a google home

Are some of your songs in the playlist downloaded to the device and others not? If so, and you're offline, then perhaps only the 5 synced albums were shuffling for you. Just spitballing. Did you get this figured out yet?

No.
I misidentified the problem. It is when streaming to a google home that the shuffle function only plays from the first 150 or so songs. Or if I start a shuffle from a track somewhere further down the list it shuffles from selections immediately following my choice.
