Using Spotify in Mexico

I am getting married on a beach in Mexico. I was wandering if I can use my spotify list as my DJ? Will spotify work in Mexico, I usually keep my phone in airplane mode and only listen to itunes but I prefer spotify. I need it to be reliable if this is what I will use for music on the beach for my wedding. Any suggestions?

If you keep your phone in airplane mode it should work if you follow the directions in the offline article I linked.

I suggest to put your phone in offline mode before you travel to test everything out so it works before your trip.

Awesome thanks! I can just download my playlist for the wedding then? I don't wanna get there and it doesnt work. I would be very very disappointed

Yes, if you have a premium subscription you can download the playlists in the Spotify iOS app. What this does is it saves the song files inside of the app from the Spotify server so that when you don't have internet connection, you can still play the music. Then when you get back from the trip, and turn on the internet again, the app will send all the information about your plays back to the Spotify server so everything can continue going smoothly. I suggest to download and test it out with the airplane mode / offline mode in the Spotify app settings to test if it works.
