Starred Function Not Working & Playlist Disappeared

I'm a Premium user. I predominantly use 2 devices an iPad and iPhone to use Spotify.

2 weeks or so ago I went to play my yellow starred playlist (I use it daily) to see the song count at 0. It's taken years to cultivate- I freaked the F out.

I then found a playlist named "starred" amongst my other playlists with all the songs contained- phew but... This isn't something I have done manually. I have no idea how or why this has happened.

I'm now unable to star ANY songs. On a new song I like, when I click the yellow star it becomes transparent within seconds. When I add the song via the plus sign to the yellow starred playlist, it says it's added, but the playlist remains at 0.

I thought it might have been a glitch and would rectify it's self, but sadly not. I have over 600 songs in my playlist but I'd expect that Spotify don't have a quota on how many you can add to the yellow starred list.

Can someone please help me?
