Hi, Spotify is only available in the app store for ios 8 or later. Any ideas how to install for a iPhone 4 for my son? Or do we have to switch to apple music?

Hey @garyswot,

Unfortunately, the iPhone 4 is no longer supported by Spotify, and you need iOS 8 or above.

Oh, and by the way, I believe that the same requirements apply to Apple's Music service. 🙂

Thanks - it helps but is increadibly annoying.

Perfectly good devices become obsolete "forcing" us to buy new ones just to listen to music ............

Not good for our bank accounts. Not good for the environment.......

Hey there @garyswot, I know this definitely doesn't help to resolve your issue right here right now, but for the record, Apple does have a recycling program that allows you to recycle your old devices and receive store credit in return! You can read more about it here.
