topic iOS Battery Improvements in iOS (iPhone, iPad)

Having taken part in numerous threads regarding battery drain and heat on the Spotify iOS client over the past year, I wanted to check with the community if everyone was seeing the improvements I've seen.

It looks like the Spotify engineers have really locked down the battery usage of the iOS client in a variety of scenarios including offline and streaming. I compare this to Apple Music/iTunes Match and other audio apps in this screenshot (I listen to a lot of audio in the week) and you can see Spotify fares well against Apple's default app.

This is on an iPhone 7, iOS 11.0.1, Spotify 8.4.20.

Anyway, thought this was worth noting, or even celebrating, for now in case there are any further battery issues down the line.

AFavourable battery comparison.
