Post iOS 11 update, while using headphones iPhone toggles from Spotify app to the music app

iPhone model: SE

iOS: 11.0.3

Spotify version: 8.4.22.515

I have tried the soft reset and also a clean reinstall of the Spotify app. It doesnt seem to resolve any issues. Furthermore, I tried using different headphones to no avail either. Any help much appreciated.
