topic Spotify Code Images in iOS (iPhone, iPad)

So i had the brilliant idea of making my friend a mixtape for her birthday and presenting it in a physical CD case, with a playlist cover on the front and the spotify code image on the back of the case. I have already designed and set a cover for the playlist, however, when i went to save the spotify code to my phone, the image had not changed (It is still the default 4 album cover playlist cover). I had seen this before, but i never really cared about the look of the spotify code. however, in this situation, i would really prefer in the cover of the case/playlist and the spotify code image were the same, as it really wont look good if they are not. I have noticed that eventually the code image will change, but i am not sure how much time that takes and i need this done in less than two weeks. Does anyone know a solution to this problem, or at least how long the image will take to change?

Hey @400houses, cool idea!

To change the image on your playlist, we'd recommend doing this via the desktop app. Click on the playlist's three dots > click Edit Details, and you should see a dropdown menu that looks like this...

Once an image is uploaded here, you'll then have the options to Remove or Replace the image.

You should see the changes immediately, but we'd recommend logging in and out of all devices to see the new playlist image.

Then, when you're ready to make a code for the playlist, we'd suggest going to this site to make it. Remember you'll need a URI code, not the regular playlist link. This is accessible from the playlist's Share dropdown menu (on desktop only).

Once you've got the code, test it on the iPhone by using the camera icon in the top right of the Search menu! You should be sent to the playlist.

Let us know how you get on. If you have a picture of the finished product too, we'd love to see how creative you got 💽 🎶

Thanks!
