topic MP3 not playing in iOS (iPhone, iPad)

I have some mp3 files saved to my laptop, and I have put them into various playlists, where they play fine. But, they don't show up as being in the playlists when I view them on my phone. Furthermore, when I try to play the song on my laptop and manually switch the output to my phone, I just get a message telling me to "mark the playlist for download" if I want to listen to the song. What should I do?

Hi,
When I view a playlist on my phone, the mp3 file doesn’t even show up, and
when I download, it just constantly says that it’s waiting to download.

Hello,

It may be some kind of syncing problem which I tried before.

Please make sure the songs import into Spotify:

1. Not protected by DRM

2.In supported format (https://support.spotify.com/us/using_spotify/features/listen-to-local-files/)

Steps:

1.Make sure your computer and mobile devices (iPhone) in the same WiFi network.

2.Remove the playlist which you find the problem

3.Remove and re-add the "Local Sources" - Make sure all songs synced.

3.1 You may need to reopen Spotify (MAC/PC) [in case if you added too many songs] [Recommend to do]

4.Make sure all the songs which added can be played in Spotify (Mac/PC)

5.Make whole new playlists (Recommend using different name such as "Music" rather than "Local Files KEEP" from preventing sync error)

6.On Mac/PC, check all the songs in playlist whether they can be played or not.

7.Download playlist on your devices(iPhone)

Please let me know if these work. / Mark as solved

Repost from My Original Post:

https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Problems-syncing-local-files-to-phone/m-p/4370826#M96355

So if a song is unplayable it will not show up on Spotify so that is why it is not showing up. If you download the songs using Itunes to your phone then the local files will show up on your playlists. Hope this helps. Like if you want to ¯\_("/)_/¯ . If it is the solution mark is a such 😉

you can message me whenever you want with any other problems.
