Error when connected to wifi

When I'm at home, connected to wifi, Spotify won't search or work.

What I've already tried:

I checked if offline mode was one - it wasn't
I've restarted the app several times - it didn't help
I re-installed the app, that also didn't work.

As soon as I turn wifi off, spotify starts working again. My internet connection is working, other apps do work.

I have an iPhone 7, iOS 10.2.1. I have Spotify premium for family, app version 8.1.0.623. I've attached a photo of the error message I always get.

That's not cool. Let's get you back rocking again! It sounds like there might be an issue with your network connection. Could you restart your router/modem and see if that solves the issue? Let me know how it goes.

Hi Huib, thank you for the reply! I'm afraid it's not the router/modem, I've tried it and it didn't help. Also, my husband can use Spotify on his phone over WiFi.

Thanks for trying! 🙂 Let's get to the bottom of this. Could you try to login with a different account on your phone? Also, could you update your phone to the latest iOS version?

Hey, I’m having the exact same problems as Amy. Mine works on my partner’s account (he has the family premium account I’m a member of) but nothing when I log on as me.

That's definitely odd. Could you try to reinstall the Spotify app with these steps? That should help here. Let me know how you get on! 🙂
