USB Steering Controls

So my Spotify won't work on my Fiat 500 steering wheel, and before you say about there being orthodox problems, my friend with exactly the same version phone as me, with identical Spotify versions, his works! As soon as he connects the USB it comes on the dashboard with the song he plays and all. I've compared the setting of the Spotify app, they're both identical, so why is mine not working but his is???

That's not cool. Could you try to reinstall the Spotify app? Are you able to control your music after that? Let me know how it goes.

Both Spotify and IOS version are the latest. But surely that can't effect it, as my friends phone with identical versions of phone and iOS and Spotify, his works but mine won't

I am also having the same issue with my Fiat 500. The only app that does not work with the steering controls is Spotify, other apps work fine. It used to work 8-12 months back then after an update it just stopped altogether. It's very very frustrating. Spotify needs to fix this 😞

With ios 11 you now need to have the stock ios app for it to work via USB

i also have the same issue! my boyfriend has exactly the same spotify/phone and his works but mine won’t, please can anyone help as this is so annoying!

It’s really annoying isn’t it! Though this ends with me as I will be wavinf goodbye to my fiat and saying hello to my new SEAT!
This is a really annoying problem though and Spotify did nothing to help.

GUYS, IM SO HAPPY!

After nearly a year of not being able to skip songs. I’ve finally fixed it!!! (Or at least figure it out)

I found out on another thread somewhere.

But basically, you have to make sure you have a song actually on your phone. So I re-installed the ‘music’ app, went to iTunes, bought a random song so it was on my phone.... then BOOM! I can now skip songs on Spotify.

I have no idea at all why this actually works. But I’m not complaining.

Hope it works for you guys too!

(PS; I am way overly excited about this)

Oh my god it actually worked! Thank you so much 🙂 I just bought a 59p song from iTunes and bam it works!
