Failing to AirPlay with Spotify App

I have been playing Spotify music from iPhone via AirPlay to my ATV for a couple of years with no problems. Then suddenly yesterday when I try to airplay there's no sound from Spotify after connecting to my ATV. I can play other apps with sound but not with Spotify. I tried to instead use AirPlay doubling which did work. But why is regular Airplay not working?

I have tried resetting ATV with update and reinstalling spotify with latest update as well.

IPhone 6 ver 10.3.3

Spotify ver 8.4.18

ATV tvOS 10.2.2
