Hello,

I was planning on extending my premium subscription with the student discount, but I see that is only avaible for USA students, this is not fair, where I live 10€ per month is expensive for a student. I wanted to ask if there are plans on extending the student discount to europe.

Hey there!

The student discount is based on the school that you attend. If you change your Spotify account to european-based, then you'd need to be attending a school in the country in which you are living.

but when I try to select "student discount" (https://www.spotify.com/us/student/) I got this message:

It appears that you are not eligible for the discounted product that you are trying to purchase. If you'd like you can still upgrade your account to premium at any time.

I can't even select my university.

Looks like you have "us" in your url. Try just www.spotify.com/student instead of www.spotify.com/us/student.

it automatically redirects you to: https://www.spotify.com/us/student/ (with the us)

You can keep a lookout on the Spotify blog for new areas. They usually release it in the blogs right before it's made available

Thanks for getting back to us.

The discount is currently only available for students in higher education. You are however still able to enjoy all Premium features at a discounted price with one of our other offers - Premium Family or Premium Duo. You should check them out and see if they work for you 🙂
