My Question or Issue

i keep receiving "unknown error, pls try again later", when trying to sign up for spotify student. i reckon its bcs i am using a vpn and not uni wifi, as campus is closed bcs of covid. how do i proceed?

i tried changing devices and incognito mode

Thank you for your post here in the Community.

You should be able to sign up for Premium Student without using your university's internet connection.

Can you use an internet connection without using your VPN since Spotify don't officially supports VPN?

i think i figured it out!
For me, it was a problem with my email. It must be the email provided to you by the university.
In my case, it was the @ufmg email instead of @gmail
