My Question or Issue

My school (Affärshögskolan in Malmö, Sweden) is not listed, and for some reason it says it's not entitled when filling out the form at https://support.sheerid.com/en-US/63fd266996552d469aea40e1/asr

Please advise.

Thanks for coming to the Community.

If your institution is not listed in the SheerID verification form, you’re, unfortunately, not eligible for the discount at this time.

That's funny, because the company that owns this school has the same type of education in other cities which schools are eligible for Spotify premium student. Is there a link or a form I can send to the school board to make it eligible?

Hey again, @Hennaboy,

If you’re in higher education but your college/university isn’t on the list, you can request for it to be added here.

Spotify's verification partner SheerID will email you if it's accepted. This can take a minimum of 30 days and it cannot be guaranteed that it'll be accepted.

Thanks, but when I do that it says:

"This offer is unavailable

The academic institution you have selected is not eligible for this offer."

Which is strange, because if I select a different city it seems to work. How can I get the school in my city approved?

Why is my university not included in the SheerID student verification?

I want to pay for a Student Premium account but SheerID doesn't even recognized my (quite well-known) university. I suggested the university be included and I received a standard message saying that my university would not be included in the database. Why is that? Why is my university randomly not included as an eligible university?

I am a student at 42 Lausanne, part of the international network of 42 schools. I am writing here following a suggestion from your support team to submit my request.

Some other schools in the network, such as 42 Mulhouse and 42 Le Havre, are already eligible for the Spotify Student Premium program, allowing their students to benefit from a discounted rate. However, 42 Lausanne does not yet seem to be included in this program.

This might be because 42 Lausanne is a newer school in the network, but it follows the same educational criteria and methodologies as the other campuses, offering free, innovative, and high-quality education. Adding our school to the program would be a great opportunity for the students here, who, like those in other 42 schools, are often reliant on student discounts due to financial constraints.

Thank you in advance for considering this request. Many of us hope to enjoy Spotify Premium to accompany our studies with music and inspiring podcasts.

hey, i had a similar issue before — some schools just don’t show up in sheerid’s system even if they’re legit. when that happens, i usually try uploading some kind of proof (like a student ID or enrollment letter) and that’s helped a few friends too.

also, fwiw, i’ve seen platforms like schoologylausd used by schools that are more tied into U.S.-based systems, so maybe it’s also a regional thing with how sheerid handles listings. kinda annoying tho.

Hello! i added my school and it says they approved it, but when I check it on the sheerID my school was not even on the list.

The UK isn’t an option so I can’t add my school.
