I'm getting charged for premium individual when I have student premium.

I got verified for student premium and even have a Hulu account linked to it and it all works well but recently I noticed that under my billing I am being charged $10.99 when the student premium account is $5.99. I tried to switch it back to premium student but then when I went to verify my student status is says the verification limit exceeded and has already been redeemed.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

It seems your discount has expired and that is why you started to be charged for Premium Individual. Once a student discount runs out, you go back to paying the standard monthly price as stated in the terms and conditions of the discount.

We email you to let you know when your discount is about to end, so we encourage you to check your junk/spam folder or that you don't have our emails blocked. If you are still eligible for the discount, you can request to extend it for another year here.

If the verification is successful, you will receive an email with the steps to follow to apply the discount to your account. Since you mentioned you tried to re-apply for the discount, we'd like to check: did you receive the confirmation email from SheerID? If yes, make sure to follow the steps you find there. Make sure you're accessing the newest email you received from SheerID.

If you received the email and followed the steps there, but continue having issues, the best way to go would be to get in touch with our folks backstage, so they can help you check your account more thoroughly. You can find how to contact them here.

Same thing happened to me. I got a reminder last year but i didn’t get one this year? And it already charged me for the premium subscription.
i’m still eligible for the student discount

I am getting charged with INR 119 instead of INR 66.

Hey @nowaa,

Note that after applying the discount on your account, you need to switch the plan to Premium Student. If you've updated your payment details recently, it's possible you accidentally switched changed the plan to Premium Individual. Check your order history to see if the transaction appears there.

it's possible that this was an authorization charge to see if your payment method is valid and can be used for recurring transactions. If that's the case, the funds will be returned in the upcoming days.

You might also have another Spotify account though. I recommend checking out this article for more info on how to proceed.

I change my individual premium to student premium after purchasing the individual one for 10.99 and student premium is 5.99. What happens to the money the rest of the money I paid?

If you've changed from Individual to Student then the system will charge you the discounted price on your next billing date.

However, if you've just paid for Individual and switched to Student and you think you're eligible for a refund you can check out this article.

Hello. I forgot to re-verify my student eligibility on Spotify and I got charged for the regular price which is 149PHP on Philippines.

I just renewed my student discount and successfully verified using SheerID. Upon receiving their email confirming this, I selected the link to get premium for students. After I do this, however, my account page doesn't update on the site or in the app. It still says I have premium individual and will be charged full price. Additionally, I have already tried logging out and back in to no avail. Please help resolve this issue.

I had Spotify Premium, and a day before the new billing, I switched to a premium student. My student discount had already been approved, but I see that my bill for the next month is still 11.99$ (as a Spotify Premium without student discount!). It was supposed to be 5.99$!
