&lt;P&gt;It seems like you didn't go through the &lt;A href="https://support.spotify.com/article/premium-student/" target="_self"&gt;whole process of activating the student discount&lt;/A&gt;. Once verified through SheerID, you should have received a confirmation email with a link to redeem the discount on your Spotify account. If you can't find it, you may need to check your spam folder as sometimes emails can end up there.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;One thing to keep in mind is that you can’t pay for Premium Student by mobile billing or another company (e.g. your phone or internet provider). If your current Premium Individual subscription is handled by a third-party company, then you would need to cancel it, wait until your account reverts to the free service and re-sign up with an eligible payment method &lt;A href="https://www.spotify.com/student/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;U&gt;here&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/A&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
