My Question or Issue

I have been subscribed to premium student for nearly a month now and still no sign of the AI DJ. I have tried everything: deleting and reinstalling, logging out and back in, I have updated the app 3 times and I have cleared cache multiple times. I am also in a region where the AI DJ is available. Assistance would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks for the interest in the AI DJ function 🙂

The DJ can be found on your Music Feed on Home in the Spotify mobile app on your iOS or Android device. You should be able to locate the DJ by clicking on Search and then going to the Made For You hub.

In case it's not there, make sure you're not using any VPN services and let us know/ send us a screenshot of what you're seeing on your end in the Made For You hub. Many thanks!

Even when I search, nothing comes up. Same for the made for you tab. And I do not have any active VPNs.

We did some additional digging on the topic and, as we can see that you've mentioned you've been on Premium Student for nearly a month now, this would mean that you're on the new Student tier of the app, with the remaining being Standard, Lite and Platinum.

When selecting from one of the new plans (incl. the new Student tier), the DJ feature will only be available with a Premium Platinum plan, which is why you're not seeing it on your Student plan right now.

Hey! I can see why that’s frustrating. A few things to know about the AI DJ feature so you’re not missing something obvious:

Spotify’s AI DJ should show up in the Music Feed on the Home tab of the mobile app, or under “Made For You” when you search. If it’s there, tap the DJ card to start it.
The feature only works on Premium plans and isn’t a free-only option. That includes most Premium tiers, but there’s an important detail with student plans. On some of the new student tiers the DJ feature isn’t included by default yet — Spotify support confirmed that it’s available with certain higher Premium levels (like Platinum) and not all student plans right now. That explains why it doesn’t appear even if you meet the usual requirements.
If you should have it but don’t see it, double-check that your app is up to date and that you’re on the mobile app (AI DJ doesn’t always show on desktop or web). If it still doesn’t show, logging out and back in or clearing the app’s cache can help refresh your account settings.
