Student Verification - can't select Germany

Hi there.

I live in Austria and study on a German university. Now I'd like to apply for student discount, however "Germany" is not available in the list of countries on the SheerID page.

Is there no discount for students enrolled on German universities or what's the issue?

It sounds like you haven't updated your country setting to Germany yet. You can do this by following these steps.

I don't live in Germany, I live in Austria. I also don't have a German credit card. I'm enrolled on a German distance-learning university.

I even have a verified UNiDAYS account but Spotify won't let me use it as they force SheerID on Austrian citizens.

Is there any way around it?

Unfortunately, there's no way around it.

Your account’s country settings need to match the country of your university, and your payment method needs to have also been issued in that same country.

So I'm a legitimate student on an accredited university but still can't get a student discount... Pity, I didn't experience that kind of problem with Amazon Music Unlimited or on any other site.
