My Question or Issue

Three questions,

1. How long does it take for student verifcation?

2. How would I know when I'm verified/rejected?

3. Is there an option to pre-pay for 1 year? I'm not seeing that option anywhere(maybe it will appear after I'm verified)

Hey @m33nu_rie

It usually takes 12h-72h for SheerID (the company who checks your documents) to give you an answer, they will send you an email and tell you if you are verified or not.

Sadly, there is not an annual paying option for student's plan.

Spotify verifies your student status through a third-party service called SheerID. For more information, you can always check out their student support page.

You can also find more info about Premium for Students here.

SheerID will inform you via email if your request has been approved or declined and Premium for Students is currently only available as a monthly subscription.

Hi! I am also from India and even i've sent the proof of being a student but haven't received any responsefrom spotify's side it's almost more than a day 😞

How did you even send the request? I'm trying to manually verify but it shows only US colleges and dues not allow any Indian institutions.

i have tried it twice and the replies were

1. Your last name is missing from the documentation submitted.

2. The last name entered on the verification form does not match the name that appears on the documentation submitted.

and actually i don't have a last name.
