Transferring Local Files

My Question or Issue

I currently have all of my local files saved in the Music library on Windows. However, I'm building a new PC and I'm backing up all of the local files where they'll be removed from the current directory (in the File Explorer) and transferred over to the new SSD on the new system.

Will I still be able to see the local files if I transfer the current .mp3 files onto the new SSD in the same file directory or will I have to gain new copies?

Thanks for reaching out in the Community!

There shouldn't be an issue for you changing the destination of your local files to you new SSD drive. All you'll need to do after you've completed the move is to resync the files with the Spotify app, by showing it where is the new source folder located. This procedure could be easily done for different operating systems following the instructions here.
