grey songs in my queue

Device: iPhone 11 (iOS 15)

Recently, there has been grey songs in my queue when i press shuffle. If i look through my liked songs and press on the song individually, it plays with no problem. There's also songs that are greyed out that I had previously, but are no longer liked/I removed them.

I have the hide unplayable songs option turned on and it's not a matter of it being unavailable in my region because it plays just fine if it's not in my queue.

I've also reinstalled the app and logged out a couple times but the problem persists.

If you have any suggestions, please help!

Thanks for posting in the Community.

The described behavior is indeed odd. Have you tried performing a clean reinstall of the app already? Here is how to do one.

It's also important to try reproducing the issue with a different account on your device and with your account on a different device, if possible.

Also check the background app refresh settings of the iPhone and make sure Spotify is allowed to refresh in the background. More on that here.

I tried all your suggestions and unfortunately it doesn't go away.

Some of the songs that are grey are songs that I have unliked and some are songs that are in my library that are available to me if i click it individually.

It's really strange because I'm not sure why it shows up when i've pressed the hide unplayable songs.

To confirm, do you mean that when you're listening to you liked songs and unlike a song, that song is skipped during playback but still shows up greyed out in the queue?

It would also be great if you could provide us as recording or screenshots.

Note: The show unplayable songs option is for playlists/albums but doesn't affect the queue.
