Not Allowed Access To Library On Mobile Web?

My Question or Issue

I'm trying to us Spotify through my browser on the spotift webpage, but everytime I click my library, it prompts me to download the app instead. Am i completely unable to access my library without the app on mobile?

Hi @ainszo0o!

That's correct - the Web Player on mobile devices has a limited set of features and its main purpose is to open Spotify-related links, if the user has not yet installed the mobile app. For the full experience it's recommended you use the mobile app instead.

If you have any suggestions on possible improvements to the Web Player on mobile devices, feel free to share them on our Idea Exchange board. Others can then add their +VOTEs and comments to show their support.

I dislike the fact that Spotify forces me to download the app to access my library. I do not want to download the app on this device.

When you don't allow users to use the spotify app on their perfectly good older devices (like iphones that cannot update to 16), then you need to allow them to access their saved playlists and library from the web, as this is your own apparent workaround for your paying customers with older devices.
