Spotify doesn't see local files

Hello!

Premium user (if it makes a difference).

Spotify doesn't pick up any of my (many) local files in several folders. I can only play a local file if I open it from my file manager and choose Spotify as the player, then it'll be available until Spotify restart.

Spotify has permission for local media.

Am I missing something?

Well, after struggling with this for many days I think I solved it so I'm sharing:

I'm on Android 13. There's a separate permission for videos and photos; when I enabled it the system told me that the app does not fully support 13 and along with videos and photos, if I enabled this permission, it'll have additionally access to audio files.

Bingo! At least for now, I'll keep a watch on it.
