How do I create an Album subcategory in Your Library?

Hey there, welcome to the Spotify Community!

I can confirm that you can see all your albums in the albums section in your library already. There is no way to create a sub-section with Albums, Playlists, or Artists section but you can follow these steps to create a playlist version for your Albums:

Open your Desktop App.
Create a folder named Albums.
Open your Album and drag-drop it to the folder.
This will create an exact replica of that Album but as a playlist.

If I do that, the playlist will contain all the cuts from all the albums.
Then I'll have to cull the cuts I don't want. It would be easier to start a
new playlist, open each album individually, and move what I want to the new
playlist.

Thanks for getting back to me. And yes, you can do that for more personalization because being a playlist it gives you more room for it.

It would be easier still to create a subcategory in the Library. I could
put all the Christmas albums in that and not have to hunt through the
entire bunch of albums.

I agree but here is another solution. You can simply create a genre-wise playlist or Christmas playlist as you mentioned and you can sort the playlist by Album which will group tracks from the same Album together.

I know this is not the ideal solution you were hoping for, but feel free to create an idea for the same feature suggestion here.
