At the moment, the limit stands at 10 collaborators per playlist so if you create one, you can add a max of 9 friends.

Edit: The 10 person limit is for Blend playlists, for collaborative playlists the maximum amount of users can be added is up to 1 000.

And yes, collaborative playlists are open/accessible for editing by collaborators only: people you have invited to your playlist through a collaborator's link. However, a public playlist will still be visible to anyone who comes across it on your profile or elsewhere. You could set your playlist to private and your collaborators can still access it.

What if we want to make a playlist for an office of 50 people and we want everyone to contribute? How can we do this?

At the moment, there are no workarounds to end up having 50 people on a blend, I will try and find out if there's any plans to have that being possible anytime soon.

What I can suggest is this

Since each blend will accommodate only 10 members, you can divide yourselves up into 5 groups 0f 10 and make blends that way. After that, you put all the blends into a single giant playlist.

This is only a suggestion so you guys can end up having everyone contribute.

I've been in such a situation myself and I had to create multiple blends and merge them afterwards.

Hey @raaltamirano, we've recently been looking into this and have determined that up to 1,000 users can be added to a collaborative playlist, so you shouldn't have any issues allowing 50 people to contribute to a playlist like you described. The 10 person limit is for Blends, so that shouldn't affect what you're trying to do. Hey @dinomight, after looking over the site, I was unable to figure out how report an issue I am having, so I am going to post it here.

The reason I asked my initial question about the number of contributors to a "Collaborative Playlist" is that I created a playlist for my office of around 200 people, here is the link:

I sent this link out in an email to the entire company, but I keep getting emails back on how some users can't add songs to the playlist. I've tried troubleshooting the problem by asking what device they use. Are they on the web app, desktop app, or mobile? But every response is different. What could be causing users to be unable to add to the "Collaborative Playlist"? Could it be the link I've sent out? The link I sent to everyone is below:

Thanks for the post.

I think I know what's happening and why your colleagues can't access the playlist. Everyone who clicks on this link within 24hrs can access the playlist as a collaborator. After 24hrs, the link will either just redirect to the playlist if it's public or will show an error if it's a private one. In order to add more collaborators after 24 hours, a new link needs to be generated and sent.

I'd suggest you mention this in your message, so everyone can join within 24 h of receiving the link 🙂

I wanted to print out the Spotify collaborator invitation link on stickers for a festival so that way many people can collaborate on a collaborative playlist, in order send the media out for print it takes one to two weeks, is there anyway to extend the link from expiring so it can be a working link during the time of the festival?

Sorry, there's no way for us to extend the validity of the link. A workaround for this would be to use the stickers to direct festivalgoers to a webpage which has the most current link to the playlist.
