Managing playlists -save albums in a playlist without listing all the track

I'm trying to organise my music albums into categories - so one playlist for "classical" and another for "dance" etc. However, when I add an album to a playlist instead of showing just the album it lists every track! This leaves me with a huge list to scroll through to find a particular album or to browse through what I want to play. Anyone have the solution?

Hey there, welcome to the Spotify Community!

I understand that you are trying to organize your albums into categories but there is no way to do that in-app as of now. When you add multiple albums under a playlist, it will not act like albums under categories but simply like other playlists. You can then sort them according to Album.

There is another way you can do this though.

Create a folder called Albums.
Create multiple folders inside Albums based on the categories you want.
Drag and drop any Album to the category folder.
Now you have folders and playlists disguised as categories and Albums respectively.
