Plan

Premium

Country

Romania

Device

Desktop

Operating System

Windows 11

My Question or Issue

As can be seen in the screenshot, there is a problem with the daily mixes. In the "Recently played" section, Daily Mix 3 contains the artists "Ad Infinitum, Enemy Inside", but under the "Made for" section Daily Mix 3 contains some other artists. In fact Daily Mix 4 contains the artists that were in Daily Mix 3 in the "Recently played" section.

When playing the playlist, it seems that the ones in the "Made for" section are wrong, and the "Recently played" are correct. I find this problem very annoying... i start a mix expecting the artists on the cover, but instead it plays some completely different songs and I have to do some trial and error to get to the mix I want to hear.

The problem is occurring on multiple devices, so my guess is that it's either an issue with the account or a bug in Spotify.

Hey there @tibich,

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.

Could you let us know if this started happening after a specific event such as an update? You mentioned that this happens across devices, but would you mind checking if the same happens on the web player?

On another note, would you mind logging out and then logging back in to your account on your devices twice in a row? This will trigger a sync between your account and devices.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Hello @Eni,

Thank you for your assistance. I tested the browser and there was nothing in my "Recently played" list. The mixes from the "made for" section worked properly, I couldn't reproduce the issue. I'm thinking of testing it for a while, maybe it takes a couple of mixes updating until the problem appears. I'll post an update in a couple of days after using the web player exclusively.

I can't remember exactly when it started happening, but it's been a while, at least a few months. I found it annoying, but I just found alternative ways of listening to what I wanted such as artist radio, or playlists made by other people. Only recently I figured out that the mixes from "recently played" are correct and the ones under "made for" not.

I am having a similar issue where there are a few mixes that keep coming up and are in a different language. They're songs I would have never listened to or even could understand. Sometimes it's my Daily mix 1 and then next week it's Daily Mix 2 and then it rotates to other numbers. The daily mixes have gotten to the point where they are nearly useless.
