Hi, sorry, I had linked the wrong old post in my original post. I corrected it now.

This happens anytime I play Spotify on a new echo device.

For example, if I'm playing Spotify on my ipad, and I say to one echo device I have "play Spotify" it restarts the playlist or album from song 1.

If I'm already playing Spotify on an echo device, and I go to a different room with a 2nd echo device and say "play Spotify", it also starts the playlist or album from the first song.

I'll make a video showing this, but the post from last year https://community.spotify.com/t5/Other-Podcasts-Partners-etc/Can-t-resume-music-from-the-last-played-position-while-using/td-p/5328909/page/2 describes what's happening, and it was fixed at the time (fixed like march 2022 or so). It just started again a few days ago.

Plan Premium

Country USA

Device Amazon Echo

My Question or Issue

I am playing the new Fall out boy album on one echo device, and if I go to a different echo device and say "play spotify", it starts the album over instead of continuing from where the previous device was playing. Happening with my playlist as well. This is a repeat issue from https://community.spotify.com/t5/Other-Podcasts-Partners-etc/Can-t-resume-music-from-the-last-played-position-while-using/td-p/5328909/page/2 but it was solved. It started again for me today.

Hi there @bdawg923

Thanks for reaching out. When does this issue exactly occur? Only when switching from one Echo to another? Does it happen when you just let the song run out, as described in the linked thread? If you could make a video of the issue and send it to us that would be very useful.

Keep us posted.

I start by playing a random song in the middle of the album, then I say Play Spotify to my echo device, it starts the album from song 1.
