how to play more than one playlist at once?

Hi,

I'd like to select more than one playlist and put all music of the selected playlists on shuffle mode.

How can I do that?

I tried puting the playlists into a folder. But the folder has no play button.

Can someone help me?

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!

If you’re using the desktop app or web player, you should be able to right-click the playlist folder in the left sidebar and select Play (with Shuffle turned on) to shuffle the playlists in the folder.

However, if you’re using the mobile app, there’s unfortunately not currently a way to shuffle multiple playlists in a playlist folder. However, you can try this workaround to similarly shuffle songs from multiple playlists together:

Create a new playlist on your mobile app
Open another of your playlists, then tap the three-dots menu > Add to another playlist, selecting the new playlist that you just created
Repeat the first two steps for as many of your playlists you'd like to shuffle together
Play the new playlist with shuffle on

There’s also a Live Idea for being able to shuffle multiple playlists. If it's something that you’re interested in, I'd recommend adding your +VOTE to the idea (even though its current status is "Not Right Now"). The more votes an idea gets, the likelier it is that Spotify will implement it, and you can read more about how feedback on ideas reaches Spotify here.

This doesn't work!

Receive error:

"Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it"

Can you try clearing your hosts file by following these steps?

If that doesn’t resolve the issue, I’d next recommend trying with a different internet connection, such as with a hotspot from your phone.

If the issue persists, can you let me know if this happens only when trying to play the content of your folders, or with all playlists?

Hi Trey,

Thanks for your reply. There are no Spotify or Fastly references in any of my host files.

I have rebooted all devices, including modem and router.

This doesn't work on any browser I have tried, the PC app or my various mobile devices.

All I want to do is to play multiple playlists from a folder. If this isn't possible, perhaps allowing sub-playlists to be nested in a playlist.

I'm sure some of this functionality was available in prior versions of the app.

In this case, I suggest changing the option "Enable hardware acceleration" in your app settings from ON to OFF and vice versa, to see if that makes any difference.

I also recommend making sure that your Spotify app is the latest version, by performing a clean reinstall of the app.
