does that mean that if when i re-install the app , the playlists will still be there, and all i need to do is re-download all the songs on the playlists?

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community. We've created new thread as the one you've posted was a bit outdated. We hope you don't mind 🙂

You'll just need to re-download any downloaded music and podcasts after reinstalling the app. Your library (i.e. saved playlists, albums, podcasts, etc.), however, will not be affected, so no worries there.

It's worth mentioning that if you uninstall and install the app again - your settings will also be reset to the defaults, so it's a good idea to make screenshots of them so you can quickly set them up the way you like them again.

I am not sure I understand the difference between library and download. I have only music that I have put in playlists within the library. If I add a song to my playlist , has it been downloaded or is it in the library? I have fifteen playlists with around three hundred songs in each list. I don't want to lose all of that.

Thanks for your replies.

@Mk1952, no worries, you won't lose any saved content. Your Library is basically all the content you've saved. These include all your playlists, Liked songs, Albums, and Podcasts. These will stay intact even with the reinstallation.

And your downloads are only the ones you have downloaded to listen offline. Only the downloads will get deleted with the reinstallation, and you can re-download everything afterward.
