My Question or Issue

I use my device and Spotify in English but I am seeing some parts of the App in French. This happens with playlists from Spotify in suggestions. How can this be fixed?

Thanks for reaching out!

Depending on which region you're residing in, you might receive some playlist suggestions in other languages. The suggestions could also be related to the music you're listening to. For example, if you listen to songs that are in French, you may see playlist suggestions in French. However, the app language itself should still appear for you in English.

If you look carefully, the name of the playlist is in French but songs in it are English. The description of the playlist is also in French which means the app language is not English everywhere.

Keep in mind that playlist descriptions may appear in other languages as well. This depends on the region that the playlist was created in, or how the creator decided to describe and name the playlist. If you however encounter app features or sections within the app that are in a different language, please let us know and we'll be happy to investigate this further for you.

This never happened before. Why am I seeing this now? And why isn't there an option to change the region? I'd rather listen to American playlists than my current region.

Spotify Search thinks I'm spanish or hispanic suddenly

I'm a California,USA user and never had this problem before.

Starting today, Spotify Search results seem to imply that it thinks I'm a spanish/hispanic speaker/latino.

For example, when I search the phrase "2014".

Previously, it would return "Top Hits of 2014" as the playlist result.

NOW, I get hispanic/spanish/latino result playlist "Top Hits de 2013", "Top Hits de 2014" and the songs in these lists are clearly heavily biased towards spanish/hispanic/latino songs (which I have no problem with but just pointing out they are different songs than those in "Top Hits of 2014").

As someone who is NOT spanish/hispanic/latino, I would very much like my Spotify experience to revert back to its previous behavior.

I want to change the playlist suggestions that appear in the application, but I cannot find an option for this. I keep seeing Turkish songs and related lists, but I always listen to English songs and I want to see playlists related to them. How can this be adjusted?

I have the same issue right now. Phone is in French, but the app shows in English only. Pretty annoying, and last updates didn't fix the problem.
